CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR WOMXN OF COLOR LEADERS IN THE 117TH CONGRESS (JANUARY 2021-JANUARY 2023)

The 2020 Federal election in the United States of America was a big one for many reasons. One of our favorites of them is the historic victories of numerous womxn of color that made such a challenging year a bit easier to digest.

This groundbreaking election includes Kamala Harris, the first female, Black and South Asian American elected to become the Vice President of the United States of America. For the first time in history, we can finally say womxn of color will be authentically represented in one of the highest positions of power.

What makes this moment even more beautiful is that many accomplished womxn of color will also be joining Vice President-elect Kamala Harris to the White House. Special congratulations are in order for the WOC freshman congresswomen, Marilyn Strickland, Cori Bush, Nikema Williams and Teresa Leger Fernandez, who have joined the Democratic party to improve outcomes for BIPOC communities.

Below is a comprehensive list of all the congresswomen of color that will be part of the 117th congress from January 2021-January 2023.

While this is only the beginning of restoring America, we are very much excited and look forward to celebrating diversity, building unity and strengthening our democracy in ways that serve all people.
